Can Sex Cause Vaginal Yeast Infection?
Candida is a genus of fungus that is found in the vaginal area. If it increases in number then it can lead to the occurrence of yeast infection. Although vaginal yeast infection isn’t a sexually transmitted disease, it is likely to occur in females as a result of sexual activities such as oral sex, hard penile or finger insertions.
So, sex can cause vaginal yeast infection because it tends to introduce bacteria in the vaginal area of females and in turn, the bacteria trigger the growth of Candida, the yeast fungus.
